You are responsible for providing collars, leads, and muzzles as needed. would be grateful if you could provide poo bags and treats for your pet if applicable. Off-lead walking will remain at the discretion of Fur and Flock Animal Care.

All pets must have up-to-date inoculations/vaccines and be parasite treatment before sitting or drop-in visits. You must inform us of any medical conditions. Please inform Fur and Flock Animal Care of bitches in season so appropriate measures can be taken.

Where possible I will take your pet to the named vet on the Veterinary Release Form – when not possible I reserve the right to seek advice from any local, registered veterinary practice. Any decisions made will always be with your pet’s best interest and welfare in mind.

You accept that whilst all care will be taken sometimes animal(s) can sustain injuries, such as punctures, torn tendons, bites and cuts, during normal play and walks. You accept that you are responsible for paying all medical or vet fees whilst your pet(s) are under my care, including any associated fees i.e., call-out costs.

Liability

I will care for your animal as you would, and whilst I will make every effort to ensure your pet(s) are well looked after in your absence, I cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death of your animal(s) whilst in my care unless proven to be negligent.

I will maintain liability insurance. Proof of such insurance is available for you to inspect at all times, simply contact me for a copy. Fur and Flock Animal Care is currently covered by Public and Product Liability, including Loss of Keys and Care, Custody, and Control, provided by Cliverton.

Unless negligence can be proven, you agree you are fully liable for any damages, loss, or injury caused by your pet(s) whilst in my care. You agree to not hold me responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged leads, collars, tags, clothing or any other item left with your pet(s).

You accept that for any injuries that result from your pet attacking another person, animal, or property, you, the owner, will be responsible for any losses incurred unless negligence is proven on my part.

Fur and Flock Animal Care cannot be held liable for any loss of pets that have access to an unlocked “cat flap” or other form of exit/entry. In the event of a pet going missing, I will take all reasonable steps to locate them. I can continue to visit your home as normal and send feedback. If I have any cause for concern, I will always try to contact you first, after which I will notify the listed emergency contact, vet and any relevant authorities regarding a potentially missing pet.

You agree, that you will not hold Fur and Flock Animal Care liable for theft of your pet(s). Similarly, you will not hold me liable for any theft or damage to your property unless through negligence.

Job sharing is not covered under my insurance, thus I cannot be responsible for your pet(s) or home if another service provider (i.e., painters, cleaners, builders, neighbours, friends, family) enters your property while I am not there. I request that no visitors be present whilst I am pet sitting unless otherwise agreed.

Fees & Termination/ Cancellation Policy

Fees are available on my website (www.furandflockanimalcare.co.uk) and are subject to change. These must be paid the night before or further in advance unless agreed otherwise; you will be provided with an invoice before your service commences. Additional charges apply to bank holidays. Other costs (such as food, supplies, public transport tickets or vet fees) may be added to the invoice where necessary. I also charge a 45p/mile fee for any clients outside of a 10 mile radius of TR183QT.

I prefer bank transfers or payments through Stripe/Pet Sitter Dashboard. Cash payments only on agreement.

Dog Walking:

If you do not require the service for 1-2 weeks but wish to reserve your spot/day/time for the following weeks you may be required to pay a holding fee of 50% of the service price, especially during busy times. A full refund is available if a pet owner cancels 7 days before the booking begins – baring this holding fee if applicable. If cancelled between 6 and 4 days before the booking begins, you will receive a 75% refund and if cancelled 3 days before the booking, a 50% refund is available. No refund is available if cancelled within 48hrs of the booking.

Pet Sitting/ Drop-In Service:

A full refund is available if a pet owner cancels 7 days before the booking begins unless a pet sit is 5 days or more when a 14-day cancellation notice is required for a full refund. Pet sits of 5 days or longer cancelled with less than 14 days' notice will receive a 50% refund up to 72 hours before the booking. For all other pet sits cancelled between 6 and 4 days before the booking begins you will receive a 50% refund. No refund is available if cancelled within 72 hours of the booking.

As much notice as possible will be given if Fur and Flock Animal Care must cancel an appointment for reasons such as illness, vehicle breakdown, extreme weather conditions, etc. In most cases, a full refund will be given or suitable alternative arranged. Any services provided prior to a cancelation, or after, still require payment. Times given for walks/arrival are only approximates – please allow 30 minutes before contacting.

Fur and Flock Animal Care reserves the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations.

Property Security and Trackers

I recommend you tell your neighbours that we will be pet-sitting/ visiting your animal(s).

Keys

Keys kept by Fur and Flock Animal Care will never be labelled with your address. Should a key malfunction, you will be contacted. You are responsible for all charges if a locksmith is required. If a key is not provided during the free meet and greet, then a key pickup fee may be charged.

If I require key(s) to perform this service they will:

  • Keys will only be used to enable the care of your pet(s).
  • Be kept in a safe place
  • Returned to you on demand

Cameras

It is now common for households to have internal/indoor cameras set up. To be compliant with GDPR regulations, The Human Rights Act 1998 and the Data Protection Act 2018, camera locations should be disclosed as soon as possible, i.e., during initial communication or meet-and-greet appointments, as well as their type (i.e., live or recording) and if they have voice activation, please.

They will need to be disabled/turned off during the length of any pet sit carried out by Fur and Flock Animal Care, purely to protect my privacy and comfort. I am more than happy to send regular updates and videos of your pet if you want to check in on them. This is particularly important for any cameras/recording devices in rooms such as bathrooms, ensuites or bedrooms. This does not extend to external CCTV/cameras and ring doorbells. This condition is non-negotiable.

Pet Trackers

Please make Fur and Flock aware if your pet has a tracker, such as PitPat, Tractive, PawFit, or Apple AirTag. There is a possibility that these will need to be removed so that GDPR and data protection can be considered.

No changes to these terms and conditions are valid unless in writing from Fur and Flock Animal Care. All clients are asked to regularly review this page and applicable change will be notified.
